Message from our President

Mar 22, 2022

ADS Members: Following the 2021 show season, the ADS Board evaluated costs associated with hosting schooling shows for ADS members. The outcome of our evaluation identified an on-going increase in costs incurred by ADS over the past three years. ADS has not increased fees for schooling shows for several years, and the last increase was minimal. The ADS Board determined that a fee increase is necessary to be able to continue offering schooling shows to our members. The following fee increases and actions were approved in February by the board: ADS Day Membership is now 35.00. This is a fee for non-members to ride in ADS shows and participate in other activities that are subsidized by ADS funds. ADS membership fees remain at current levels and the membership year remains from December 1, 2021...

Member Spotlight: TL Jumper

Mar 3, 2022

This month’s Member Spotlight features amateur rider, TL Jumper!  TL has been an ADS member for several years and a faithful supporter and participant of ADS events. Let’s get to know TL! Tell us a little about yourself. I began riding hunters as a teenager and showed until my mid twenties (I have had a really hard time giving up the hunter perch).  For a number of years, I rode at home while working and raising my family. Then I discovered fox hunting and loved it. We had a small hunt near Little Rock with a nice pack, and I loved riding to hounds and rode every weekend in the winter for ten years.  Unfortunately, we had a lot of difficulty recruiting younger members, and as our riders got older and had injuries, the...

Jan 19, 2022

This month’s Member Spotlight features amateur rider, Erin Seelinger! Let’s get to know Erin! Tell us a little about yourself. Hi, I’m Erin and I’m 21 years old. I have always wanted to be around horses ever since I was little. I was given my first horse at 8 years old and have had them ever since. I attended Midland Farm summer camps as soon as I was able to and have stayed at Midland Farm/Top Shelf Dressage ever since I was 6 years old. I thought I wanted to ride western, but I followed this girl on Instagram named Lacey Jamieson.  I thought it was so cool that she jumped her horse 3’ with no hands, but when Lacey passed away, I decided to really give English style of riding a go and...
