ADS Meeting Minutes

September 10, 2015

1)      Call To order – Meeting was called to order at 6:40 pm. Present were:

Sandra Thompson   Rene Pope                          Eileen Krause

Judy Dent                    Joanne Homeyer             Jennifer Landers

 

2)       President Report

a)      No new information to report.

 

3)      Secretary Report

a)      Meeting minutes – meeting minutes for the June meeting were approved. Motion made by Joanne, second by Rene. Motion approved.

b)      Membership status: Total of 88 members to-date.

 

4)      Treasurer’s Report – No report

5)      Vice President’s Report – No report

 

6)      Show Manager’s Report

a)      Open discussion regarding potential to open the afternoon of the show to 20 minute clinic rides with the judge.

b)      Open discussion of the November show – formal attire and braiding encouraged, but not required. Joanne will check into a photographer available.

 

7)      Web Master Report

a)      Jennifer reported a free advertisement is available through Region 9

b)      Jennifer reported request for silent auction donations to Region 9.

 

8)      Old Business – Input from the Farm Owners for 2016 show season. Joanne and Judy agreed to compile a set of questions and board members will obtain the responses.

 

9)      New business –

a)      Fee increases to offset costs and discontinuation of the Verizon contribution. Annual dues will increase by 5.00 for individual memberships, and 7.00 for a Family membership (5.00 for the primary and 2.00 for the secondary members). The office fee would increase by 3.00. Motion was made by Jennifer and second by Joanne.

b)      Board positions for 2016 were discussed. President, Secretary, WebMaster and two Member-at-Large positions are up for election.

c)       Chairs for the year-end award banquet were discussed: Joanne  – silent auction; Jennifer – decorations; Michele and Danielle – prizes and awards.
